We want to bring new knowledge and insights and help the Canadian charitable sector future-proof their giving initiatives. The answers we received from Generation Z and Millennials to our survey will help us better understand how they might support causes they care about in the coming years. We also got a glimpse into what might encourage them to give more in the future.

- Wen-Chih O’Connell, Executive Director and President of PayPal Giving Fund Canada.

It is important to know not only how young people respond to opportunities to be generous but also to understand how ethno-diverse people express philanthropy in their own unique ways. In this report we clearly see that among ethno-diverse groups a variety of phone applications and online platforms are utilized, when it comes to giving. This leaves room for us to learn more about cultural philanthropic preferences in the future.
